Re: Learn German
Hi everyone! I wonder if there is any place in Berlin where I can go on summer to learn german, and if it's possible, don't have to spend a lot of money.
I'm going to rent a flat about a month and i'm searching a place to learn german.
Does anyone know?
Vielen Dank!

Do you mean "My heart beats for angels"?
Then you say "Mein Herz schlägt für Engel".
my = mein
heart = Herz
beats = schlägt
for = für
angels = Engel (singular and plural are the same: ein (=one) Engel; zwei (two) Engel)

Nice try!

Re: Learn German
Danke Riku! I have difficulty with phrases like this:
Ich habe gelernt ein bisschen Deutsch, die sprache der musik die ich liebe (I don't know if/when to use the ge- in gelernt) or would you phrase this an entirely different way?

lernen - infinitive
simple present
1st. pers. sg. (ich) lerne
2nd. pers. sg. (du) lernst
3rd. pers. sg. (er/sie/es) lernt
1st. pers. pl. (wir) lernen
2nd. pers. pl. (ihr) lernt
3rd. pers. pl (sie) lernen
you use the ge-, when the past perfect tense or the past perfect is used:
ich habe GElernt
du hast GElernt
...
ich hatte GElernt
du hattest GElernt
Re: Learn German
Thanks for the help Riku
I learned in class that there are irregular exceptions to the ge- rule that would get me. I guess you just have to know it. For example, past participle "hat vergessen". I may confuse it for "hat gevergessen", but I suppose to you that just wouldn't sound right. Hopefully I can make a regular post in German some day! *I wish*
